The term "lose my number (#losemynumber)" is the top trending topic at 8:30 AM GMT on November 4.
Twitter users are sharing the reasons why they would like people to lose their telephone numbers.
Tweets on the subject include the following reasons why Twitter users would rather not be called; "#losemynumber if u don't remember my name," "#losemynumber if you text me and can't spell. I don't want to try and decipher what the hell you're trying to say" and "#losemynumber if ur gonna call me and just breathe on the phone when I answer."
The term "Iran election (#iranelection)" has shot back into Twitter's list of trending topics on November 4 as unrest in the area continues. Twitter users living in Iran are posting live reports of clashes in the region and including links to photos. Other microbloggers worldwide are spreading the news and retweeting their posts.
Thousands of Iranians gathered in the capital of Tehran during state-sanctioned rallies on Wednesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the US embassy takeover. Some activists also gathered in the area to protest against the re-election of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Middle Eastern-based independent news network, Al Jazeera reports, "heavy security had been deployed to prevent opposition activists from using the annual event to voice their anger at the government."
One Twitter user commented, "Clashes across many areas of Tehran now. #iranelection Reports are frantic as always but coverage continues."
According to multiple new reports, southern Iran was also rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 that echoed through the region during the early hours of November 4. The Associated Press reports that over 700 people were injured. As yet, no deaths have been recorded.
