Memes are filling the top of Twitter's most talked about topics on the morning of July 21.
The meme "#weallgotthatonefriend" takes the top position in Twitter's trending topics. 3We all got that one friend... "who is only a 'friend' when they need something," "that always wants advice but never takes it" or "that's never on time for anything," tweet microbloggers.
The hashtag "ifyoureallyknewme" is in second place while, "#youcanthollaif" grabs the fifth position on the list.
" Inception," a science fiction thriller staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Marion Cotillard remains unchanged in third place. The name of US TV series " Pretty Little Liars" is one place behind.
A new iPad application called "Flipboard" is taking Twitter by storm. The world's first "social magazine" app aggregates and presents users' Twitter, Facebook, and news feeds in a magazine-style layout.
"Sorcerer," a term used to talk about The Sorcerer's Apprentice, a Disney film staring Nicolas Cage, is seventh on the list.
"If Inception is the thinking man's blockbuster, than [sic] Sorcerer's Apprentice is for the bullies that beat up those thinking men," tweets one person making fun of the film.
"CLR," a commonly used abbreviation for "clear" on Twitter is back in the charts in eighth place.
On July 20 American actress Lindsay Lohan began her jail sentence for violating the terms of her probation and Twitter has erupted with tweets both wishing the actress well during her jail stint and criticizing the actress for her behavior.
"[T]he only "bookings" that i'm familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i'd be "booking" into Jail... eeeks," tweeted Lohan from her official Twitter account, @lindsaylohan, before checking into jail.
Other microbloggers were not so sensitive and took to their Twitter accounts to write, "I don't see why this is a big deal. Lindsay Lohan's spray tan was already "Inmate Orange."
"Despicable," short for the name of animated feature film Despicable Me, moves down one place to number ten.
