Media: Talk of the Trade: Bafta not so daft

AFTER the comical live broadcast of last year's three- hour plus Bafta awards ceremony, featuring an inordinately long catwalk for winners to negotiate and a link with sweating British actors on a Los Angeles roof garden where the drink ran out, next year's show moves from the BBC to ITV, edited down to a brisk, or at least brisker, two hours.
