My Week In Media: Anton Mosimann

Interview by Sophie Morris

Last week I read...

Monday was an exciting day, reading all the newspapers about the Cartier Polo on Sunday. There was lots of publicity. We have done the catering there for the last 15 years. It is always exciting and it is wonderful to meet people like Natalie Imbruglia, pictured, Rosamund Pike and Dita Von Teese. I read The Times every morning and the Financial Times in the evening when I come home from work. I like to be updated on what's happening in the financial and business worlds. As we are a private club, I see the names of our members in the paper. I'm going to Beijing tonight to cook for the International Olympic Committee and the VIPs, so I read about what is going on with the security and the pollution. I wouldn't be surprised if they can clear it. Knowing the mentality and determination of the Chinese authorities I'm sure they will be as close as they can get. There was a story in The Times about Boris Johnson not getting on with Sir Ian Blair. I think Johnson will do well. He has some good ideas and he was a good choice. It is just a matter of time.

Last week I watched...

The ITV News at Ten, the BBC News at Ten and BBC Breakfast news. The story of the Rockefeller girl going missing is very sad and very strange. I also followed the story of Karadzic's extradition to The Hague.

Last week I listened to...

In the morning I usually read the papers and go jogging, so I don't have time to listen to the radio.

Last week I surfed...

I don't do too much on the internet but I have had some emails from India this week regarding a promotion coming up next year. I have a very good PA who does most of the internet work for me. I am a car fanatic, and there is an auction in a few weeks' time in California. I went to the website and saw the great cars being auctioned. It's a fantastic event and I'm jealous I can't be there. I have aJaguar E-Type and I'm very lucky to have bought it a couple of years ago. It's in very good shape, but if there is a better one around the corner I wouldn't mind having a look at it more closely.

The chef Anton Mosimann will be cooking for the IOC in Beijing throughout August
