The lawyer, who represents a number of phone hacking victims, told the Inquiry that the illegal interception of voicemails was “much more widespread” than just the News of the World, and that it was “too easy” for journalists to hack phones.
During his second day giving evidence, Mr Lewis described how he felt personally victimised by News International, claiming the company tried to ‘destroy’ his life.
At one point, he described how he was shown a "truly horrific" surveillance video of his ex-wife and 14-year-old daughter shot by a private detective commissioned by NI.
