BNP list means another DJ is crossed off TalkSport rota

The commercial radio station Talksport has parted company a second presenter - after DJ Rod Lucas was named on the leaked BNP members' list.

In a statement, the commecial statement said: "Rod Lucas has on occasion worked as a fill in presenter on TalkSport... We were not aware of his membership of the BNP until today. We have no plans to use Rod Lucas in the immediate future."

The announcement came a day after it was announced that Jon Gaunt, the reactionary shock jock and columnist for The Sun, was dismissed from his job at tTalkSport.

That followed an internal investigation by the network into an on-air exchange in which Gaunt described a local councillor as a "Nazi" for supporting a smoking ban on foster parents.

The dismissal followed TalkSport's axing of James Whale earlier this year, after he breached broadcasting standards on political neutrality by urging listeners in London to vote for Boris Johnson in the run- up to the city's mayoral election.
