BBC Journalist Sarah Teale gets sexually harassed while filming report on sexual harassment

A BBC journalist had “sexual obscenities” shouted at her while filming a report on the sexual harassment of women.

The unfortunately ironic incident happened in Nottingham, as Sarah Teale was discussing reportedly high levels of sexual harassment and assault.

The journalist, who is a presenter for BBC East Midlands Today, can be heard explaining how a study showed: “95 per cent of people said they had been harassed, either jeered at or had obscenities shouted at them in the street.”

She continued: “And a large proportion said they had been groped or grabbed inappropriately in public.”

Audio is then heard of a male voice shouting before it’s bleeped out. To which Ms Teale responds, motioning towards the man: “Yeah, like that,” shrugging towards the camera before the clip ends.
