Ben Fogle was mugged and announced the news on Twitter: ‘Enjoy the black eye’
The Countryfile presenter took justice into his own hands today

Ben Fogle was the victim of crime today.
The television presenter was mugged, according to his very public Twitter announcement this afternoon. But, apparently, he took justice into his own hands, if his jovial tweet is anything to go by.
The intrepid explorer and traveller, who is known for presenting Countryfile and Castaway, is often seen at horseracing events, conservation awards, country fairs and dog shows – sometimes with the Duchess of Cornwall. Presumably the altercation took place at one of the more rowdy of these locations.Although a spokesperson for the personality could not be reached, the incident doesn’t seem as though it was serious enough to leave Fogle unable to share it with his social media following. And the offender apparently left in a worse state than Fogle, complete with black eye, according to this:
Dear Mr Mugger. You picked on the wrong man. Enjoy the black eye. Love BenBen Fogle (@Benfogle) May 7, 2014
In February last year, he took to the social media channel after reportedly having his drink spiked in a local Gloucestershire pub.
The 39-year-old was putting his two children to bed (named Ludo and Iona), when he suffered a “psychotic fit” and tried to jump out the window.
Whoever spiked my drink with mind altering drugs and put me in A&E with a psychotic fit. Did you think of the damage you would cause?Ben Fogle (@Benfogle) February 20, 2013
