Boris falls over during tug of war

Boris Johnson has again been filmed in a sporting mishap, this time taking a tumble during a charity tug of war contest.

The London Mayor had been launching the capital's Poppy Day by taking part in the game with members of the armed forces.

Dressed in suit and tie, inappropriate wear for most sports, the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip can be seen slipping on the grass before falling down, bringing his participation in the game to an end.

This is just the latest in a series of sporting occasions that has seen London's Mayor make headlines.

In a recent visit to Japan one schoolboy was knocked to the ground during a friendly game of rugby, while last year he fouled a nine-year-old boy during a football match in the capital.
