Cara Delevigne has addressed an excruciatingly awkward interview that saw her clash with three news anchors, blaming the exchange on their inability to comprehend sarcasm.

The actress was accused of being “irritable”, “moody” and “tired” when she appeared on Good Day Sacramento to promote her new film, Paper Towns, before being sent off by her hosts, who advised her to “take a nap and get a Red Bull”.

Delevigne kept her response to the incident short and sweet, writing on Twitter: “Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour." For anyone who somehow managed to miss the interview, watch it in full below.
