9 August: The Lady Susan Hussey has succeeded Lady Dugdale as Lady-in-Waiting to The Queen.

9 August: The Princess Royal this morning attended the Sixth International Congress of the European Association for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Edinburgh and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for the City of Edinburgh (Mr Norman Irons, the Right Honourable the Lord

Provost).

Mrs David Bowes-Lyon was in attendance.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Princess Royal, Chief Commandant for Women, Royal Navy, attends a Passing Out Parade and Prize Giving Ceremony at HMS Sultan, Gosport, Hampshire.

Buckingham Palace

The State Apartments at Buckingham Palace open between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm. The Royal Mews opens between 12pm and 4pm, and last admission is at 3.30pm.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open between 10am and 6pm. Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
