BUCKINGHAM PALACE

11 August: The Prince Edward, Patron, this evening attended a Concert given by the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland at Symphony Hall, International Convention Centre, Birmingham, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for West Midlands (Mr Robert Taylor).

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The State Apartments at Buckingham Palace open between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open between 10am and 6pm. Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.

Bands playing in the Royal Parks

St James's Park, Thames Wind Orchestra, 12.30pm- 2pm, 5.30pm-7pm; Regent's Park, London Theatre Orchestra, 12.30pm-2pm, 5.30pm-7pm.
