1 July: The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner in aid of King George's Fund for Sailors on board HMY Britannia, the Pool of London.

1 July: The Princess Royal today visited Norwich and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Norfolk (Mr Timothy

Colman).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Adult Literacy and Basic Skills Unit, this morning attended the Healthy Norfolk 2000 Conference, the Council Chambers, County Hall.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Adult Literacy and Basic Skills Unit, afterwards visited the Family Literacy Demonstration Project, the Clinic, Larkman First School, Clarkson Road.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Nancy Oldfield Trust Centre, Irstead Road, Neatishead, and their floating base on Barton Broad.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Autistic Society, later opened Crossways, Folly Road, Mildenhall and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Suffolk (the Lord Belstead).

ST JAMES'S PALACE

1 July: The Prince of Wales today visited Gwynedd and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant (Mr Meuric Rees).

His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Prince of Wales' Committee, this morning visited the Welsh Language Centre, Nant Gwrtheyrn.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, later attended a Conference at Plas Menai, Caernarfon, to discuss the regeneration of Gwynedd.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Maesincla Estate, Caernarfon.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Caernarfon Castle on the Anniversary of his Investiture.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince's Trust and The Prince's Youth Business Trust, this evening attended the Gala Celebration Concert at Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for South Glamorgan (Captain Norman Lloyd- Edwards RNR).

1 July: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, President, the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children, was present this evening at the Centenary Ball of the Society's South Cheshire Branch held at Tilstone Lodge, Tilstone Fearnall.
