KENSINGTON PALACE

13 March: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon was present at a Gala Night of Ballet to celebrate the life of Rudolf Nureyev, held at the London Coliseum this evening for the benefit of Crusaid.

The Lady Glenconner was in attendance.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Queen starts the Commonwealth Games Relay Message from Buckingham Palace; attends the Commonwealth Day Observance at Westminster Abbey, London SW1; and attends the Commonwealth Day Reception at Marlborough House, London SW1. The Prince of Wales inaugurates the multimedia English language teaching project 'Look Ahead' at the British Council, London SW1. The Princess Royal, Patron, Butler Trust, attends the Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace; and as President, Save the Children Fund, attends a Regional Media Reception for the fund's 75th Birthday Appeal, Regus Conference Centre, London WC2.

The Queen's Gallery

The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
