5 February: The Prince Edward today visited the School of Electronic Engineering and opened the new Rapier Building, Hazebrouck Barracks, Arborfield, Reading, Berkshire.

5 February: The Princess Royal, Patron, Sense, the National Deaf- Blind and Rubella Association, this morning visited Elmfield House, Greystoke Avenue, Westbury-on- Trym, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Avon (Sir John Wills Bt).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this afternoon visited the Northavon Bureau, Yate Leisure Centre, Kennedy Way, Yate, Bristol.

The Hon Mrs Legge-Bourke was in attendance.
