3 July: The Prince Edward, President, the Lord's Taverners, this afternoon attended the Lady Taverners Founders' Day Reception Luncheon at Lord's Cricket Ground, St John's Wood, London NW8.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

3 July: The Princess Royal, Patron, 1993 Island Games, this afternoon opened the Island Games, Carisbrooke Castle, Isle of Wight, and was received by Her Majesty's Governor and Lord- Lieutenant for Isle of Wight (the Lord Mottistone).

Mrs Timothy Holderness-Roddam was in attendance.

3 July: The Duke of Kent, President, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, accompanied by The Duchess of Kent, this afternoon attended the Championship Meeting and presented challenge trophies to the winners.

Princess Margaret, Patron of St Margaret's Chapel Guild and of St Margaret 900, visits Dunfermline in connection with the 900th Anniversary celebrations for Queen Margaret of Scotland. The Duchess of Kent attends a concert in aid of the Chailey Heritage Appeal at the Barbican Centre, London EC2. Princess Alexandra, Chancellor, presides at Ceremonies for the conferment of Degrees at Lancaster University. Prince Michael of Kent opens an exhibition of Siberian Art, Mall Galleries, London SW1.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guards.
