22 March: The Prince Edward this morning opened the Harbour Club, Watermeadow Lane, London SW6, and was received by the Chairman (His Excellency Senor Francisco Soler).

22 March: The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner to welcome the International Olympic Committee Enquiry Commission to Manchester, the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza Midland Hotel, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Greater Manchester (Colonel John Timmins).

ST JAMES'S PALACE

22 March: The Prince of Wales this afternoon embarked in the Port of London Authority Barge Royal Nore at Lambeth Pier and proceeded to Vintners Place.

The Queen's Bargemaster and Watermen were on duty.

His Royal Highness subsequently opened Vintners Place, Upper Thames Street, London EC4.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Pentland South Pole Expedition, later received Sir Ranulph Fiennes Bt and Dr Michael Stroud at St James's Palace.

His Royal Highness, President, this evening held a Reception for supporters of The Prince's Trust and The Prince's Youth Business Trust at St James's Palace.

KENSINGTON PALACE

22 March: The Princess of Wales this morning attended the launch of Chiswick Family Rescue, Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London SW1.

Mr Patrick Jephson was in attendance.

22 March: The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon was present at the opening by The Prince of Wales of Vintners' Place, Upper Thames Street, London EC4.

Major Nicholas Barne was in attendance.

The Duchess of Gloucester today received the Captain of HMS Sandown (Lieutenant Commander DB Hosking RN).

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Queen Mother attends a reception held by the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund at St James's Palace. The Prince of Wales attends a Seminar to mark the first five years of the national charity Acre (Action with Communities in Rural England), and the work of its member Rural Communities Councils, at St James's Palace. The Princess Royal attends the International Health Exchange Annual General Meeting at the Royal College of Nursing, London W1. The Duke of Gloucester, President, National Association of Boys' Clubs, visits boys' clubs in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The Duke of Kent launches the Aidis Trust's Mobile Assessment Unit at the Vintners' Hall, London EC4; and later attends a concert and dinner given by the Hanover Band in aid of the Hanover Band Trust at Hampton Court Palace, Surrey. The Duchess of Kent visits the Longridge Towers School, Berwick- upon-Tweed, and performs the Naming Ceremony of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Lifeboat RNLB Joy and Charles Beeby at Berwick Lifeboat Station, Berwick- upon-Tweed, Northumberland. Prince Michael of Kent, President of the Institute of the Motor Industry, presents the Castrol Awards at a luncheon held in the Savoy Hotel, London WC2.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards.
