23 November: The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Right Hon John Major MP, had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, this afternoon gave a Luncheon and chaired a meeting of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Foundation at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron and Trustee, this evening gave a Reception for the Friends of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Foundation, later attended a Dinner given by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award World Fellowship at the Carlton Club, London SW1.

Sir Brian McGrath was in attendance.

The Hon Mary Morrison has succeeded Mrs John Dugdale as Lady-in- Waiting to The Queen.

23 November: The Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this afternoon attended a meeting of the trustees.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this evening attended a Reception for Friends of the Award at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince Edward, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, later attended the Magnificent Seven Dinner at the Hyatt Carlton Tower, Cadogan Place, London SW1.

23 November: The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Signals, today visited 210 Signal Squadron, 24 Airmobile Brigade Headquarters, Goojerat Barracks, Colchester, Essex.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Farms for City Children, this evening attended a Reception at the British Telecom Centre, 81, Newgate Street, London EC1.

The Princess Royal afterwards attended a Banquet celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Garrard as Crown Jewellers, Goldsmith's Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2.

The Hon Mrs Legge-Bourke was in attendance.

CLARENCE HOUSE

23 November: Lieutenant-Colonel James Arkill today had the honour of being received by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Honorary Colonel, The Royal Yeomanry, upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer of the Regiment.

Mrs Michael Gordon-Lennox has succeeded the Hon Mrs Rhodes as Lady-in- Waiting to Her Majesty.

23 November: The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum, this evening chaired a meeting for members and sponsors followed by a Dinner.

KENSINGTON PALACE

23 November: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, Patron, the Services Sound and Vision Corporation, today attended a Reception in celebration of the 50th Annivesary of the British Forces Broadcasting Service, at the National Army Museum, Chelsea, London SW3.

Her Royal Highness was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Field Marshal the Lord Bramall KG).

Changing of the Guard
