3 May: The Prince of Wales, Honorary Air Commodore, this afternoon visited Royal Air Force Valley, Anglesey, Gwynedd.
His Royal Highness, Patron, Welsh Historic Gardens Trust, this evening gave a dinner to discuss the foundation of a National Botanic Garden for Wales.

The Princess Royal opens the new Headquarters of Britannia Life Limited, Glasgow; visits Gartnavel Royal Hospital, Glasgow, in celebration of its 150th Anniversary; and later opens the new factory of Barr & Stroud Limited. The Duke of Kent, President, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, presents the Annual Awards at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.
