Emma Watson on Jennifer Lawrence nude pictures leak: 'Even worse than seeing women's privacy violated is reading the comments'
Among the worse effected was Watson’s friend, Jennifer Lawrence, who had nude images of her leaked, and also a rumoured video
Emma Watson has condemned not just the leaking of hundreds of intimate celebrity photographs and videos, but also the "lack of empathy" shown by social media users over the breech of privacy.
Among the worse affected was Watson’s friend, Jennifer Lawrence, whose publicist called the publication of explicit images and the rumoured piracy of a sex video "a flagrant violation of privacy".
The Hunger Games actress is, however, just one of hundreds of female stars who have been targeted by the mass hacking, allegedly made possible by an iCloud leak.
Watson, who is herself yet to be affected, said on Twitter: "Even worse than seeing women's privacy violated on social media is reading the accompanying comments that show such a lack of empathy."
Among others the list includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Mary E Winstead, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary Kate Olsen, Cara Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco.

Meanwhile, representatives for Upton said they were “looking into” the authenticity of the indecent images.
The 4Chan hacker behind the leak has since claimed to have a video of the actress performing a lewd sex act.
The anonymous person also admitted that they were unhappy with how much money he or she has made from circulating the stolen photographs.
