George Osborne, in the form of a snowman, illustrates the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s annual Christmas card, it has been reported.

The political blog Guido Fawkes posted an image of the card which they claim is the card Osborne will be presumably sending out to family, friends and confidants this festive season.

The snowman is pictured outside Number 11 Downing Street holding the budget red box briefcase.

Seemingly, in an attempt to portray himself as an ordinary down-with-the-people working man, the snowman is wearing a hi-vis vest and helmet.

The hi-vis Osborne look is a familiar one given the countless publicity photos of Osborne on various industrial projects throughout his career as Chancellor. This hit a new high in 2015, due to his Northern Powerhouse project.

From the signature on the card, it appears the cartoon was the work of the Telegraph’s Matt Pritchett.

Politicians issuing Christmas cards is nothing new. Who can forget former Prime Minister Tony Blair channeling Chandler Bing in his 2014 card?
