Bill Montag, Heidi Montag's father, arrested on child sex and incest charges
The father of the reality star was arrested on Thursday
Bill Montag, father of The Hills star Heidi, has been arrested on several charges of sex with a child and incest.
The 67-year-old ski instructor was apprehended in his place of work in Aspen, Colorado, on Thursday.
The reasons for his arrest included details of claims of long-running abuse of one teenage girl, starting in 1993. The document states that the abuse ended when the alleged victim was 17. The victim claims around 50 incidents of abuse.
It's been reported that she came forward to stop the same alleged abuse happening to other girls.
Captain Larry Etheridge of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's office said: "Allegations were brought forward by a woman, who is now an adult, who had alleged a sexual assault a little more than 15 years ago during a period of time when she was between 14 and 17."
Montag has "denied it all" according to authorities. The abuse claims have been being investigated since June 2014.
He could face a prison sentence of four to 12 years and a fine of up to $750,000 (£499,500) if found guilty.
There is no suggestion that Montag's daughters Heidi or Holly were in any way involved.
