The harrowing moment Justin Bieber stripped on stage at Fashion Rocks

The pop star responded to boos by inexplicably removing his clothes on stage

Justin Bieber arrived on stage at Fashion Rocks to be greeted with understandable boos from the audience.

So he did the same as what any person trying to ingratiate themselves with a clearly displeased audience would do – stripped down to his boxers, even painfully taking the time to remove his socks.

The harrowing and unnecessary turn of events was met with trepidation by Lara Stone, who was also on stage ready to announce Rita Ora’s performance.

“Is that better?” Bieber asked Stone.

“So much, thank you Justin,” she replied, with bemusement.

He then proceeded to flex his muscles in a disconcerting fashion as Stone continued to welcome Ora to the stage.

“I don't feel comfortable unless I'm in my Calvins. So, what's up? Is that cool?” Bieber asked his audience.

The inexplicable act did manage to deter the booing, inspiring mad screaming instead - although whether they were of a positive or negative nature is still to be determined.

At least his appearance at the annual charity event prevented him from causing further irritation elsewhere. He was recently arrested for dangerous driving near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario, after getting into a fight with another driver, having crashed into a minivan.
