If you’ve ever found yourself uttering the question ‘I wonder what Macy Gray is up to these days?’ then you’re in luck, because we’ve found the answer. Macy Gray has been writing a love song about her vibrator.

The song, called 'Bob' (short for Battery-Operated Better), is literally about how great Macy’s vibrator is and includes an animated video where Macy’s vibrators all walk around her house dancing.

You might be thinking: “Why has Macy released a song that sounds like a children’s nursery rhyme except it’s choc-full of really suggestive lyrics?”

You might also be thinking: “Is ‘battery-operated better’ grammatically correct? What does that mean exactly?”

You might also note that some of the phrases are a bit ‘on-the-nose’, like when she says her vibrator is ‘steady like a caterpillar’ and compares the shape and size to a hot dog.

These are all normal things to think when you listen to Macy Gray’s song about a vibrator for the first time.

“I just hope people take it seriously enough as music,” she says to Elle. “That was always the thing I'm worried about. I hope people listen to it and just love the song.”

“I hope it opens women up to talk about what's really real for them,” she added, noting that women “have to be so private about [their sexuality] and their periods, whereas guys can just talk about their penises and whatever.

"Girls always have to be so ladylike about it. I hope girls can start talking... and just say the crudest stuff.”

Has anyone noticed the blue one looks a bit like Marge Simpson?
