Men paint their nails in solidarity of Bruce Jenner coming out as transgender
The decathlete and Kardashian step-father told the world he was really a woman in a heartfelt interview
When Bruce Jenner told the world that he was transgender and was in the process of shedding his male persona, Twitter immediately sprung to his support.
But rather than posting ponderous blogs about gender, Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O launched the hashtag #paintyournailsforbruce in support of Jenner being brave enough to live life his way.
The trend has seen men paint their nails in solidarity with Jenner.
And lots of men - and women - broke out their cuticle sticks and topcoat to follow suit.
A few people mooted the argument that painting your nails somehow being synonymous with trans issues was a bit simplistic.
But the heartening show of solidarity with Jenner shows just how far the world has come in accepting people for who they are.
