Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch name their baby
Thursday 17 March 2011
Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have named their baby girl Sophia Ruby.
The 25-year-old model and her soccer star fiancé agreed on the name for their first child - who was born on Monday - because it suited both their tastes.
A spokesman for the couple told the Sun newspaper: "They chose Sophia Ruby because they just loved the names."
He added that Abbey - who admitted during her pregnancy that she thought Sophia was a boy because she felt "boisterous" - is recovering well after giving birth to her 7lbs 9oz daughter.
Tottenham Hotspur player Peter was by the blonde beauty's side during labour and is said to be looking forward to celebrating becoming a dad with his teammates.
A friend said: "The Spurs boys have been texting him congratulations - and promising to help him wet the baby's head."
The new parents - who have been dating for five years and engaged for two - are thought to be planning to marry this summer.
