Now fully qualified, Dr Nelab had just started school when the Taliban came to power. 'So I left Afghanistan and went to Pakistan to continue my education...After they left I came back and became a doctor. It is incomparable now to the time of the Taliban. Then no one could go out. Now women have rights.' ActionAid is calling for those involved in the current peace process to state publicly that the equal rights for men and women that are enshrined in the Afghan constitution are sacred and will never be overturned.
