Bob Geldof not sure of album sales

Bob Geldof doesn't think he will sell any copies of his new album.

The former Boomtown Rats singer admits he enjoys the irony of the title of his fifth solo LP 'How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell' - his first record since 2001's 'Sex, Age & Death' - because he thinks it is unlikely to sell very well.

He said: "I got the title from this book and thought it was f***ing brilliant.

"It's hilarious because the chances of me selling any f***ing records are entirely slim."

The 59-year-old singer and charity campaigner also admitted people are surprised to find he is not a miserable or rude person when they meet him.

He said: "My mate came round to take some photos and said, 'Can you not be smiling for once? You're always taking the p**s and laughing.

"People see me as this angry man but I don't mean to be. When I'm listening to people I tend to scowl and look angry. I don't like rudeness - it's c**p and disrespectful and I really don't mean to come across like that."
