Donald Trump will fight protesters from the Black Lives Matter group if they try to interrupt one of his campaign speeches.

It followed a rally in Birch Run, Michigan, on Saturday when Vermont’s senator, Bernie Sanders, who is running as a Democratic candidate for President, allowed members of the group to speak at the event.

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, Trump said it was “disgusting” that Sanders had allowed his microphone to be taken away.

“I would never give up my microphone. I thought that was disgusting. That showed such weakness, the way he was taken away by two young women. The microphone – they just took the whole place over.”

He said he would never allow protesters to interrupt one of his events and would not shy away from fighting them.

“That will never happen with me. I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself, or if other people will. But that was a disgrace."

Some people reacted to Trump’s comments on Twitter and encouraged the Black Lives Matter group to attend one of his rallies.

This is not the first time that Trump, from New York, has made controversial comments during his run for presidency. After a recent interview with Megyn Kelly for Fox News, Trump slammed the presenter’s debate questions on CNN.

He said: You could there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever”.

But the businessman later defended his comments on ABC's The Week and said only a “deviant” would think that he was referring to Kelly being on her period.
