George Michael was warned he faces jail yesterday after admitting crashing his car while under the influence of drugs.

The singer, who also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, was handed a six-month interim driving ban.

Michael, 47, was told by the judge at Highbury Corner magistrates' court he could face imprisonment when he returns to court for sentencing on 14 September.

He was arrested on 4 July after he crashed his car into a shop.
