GMTV's Kate Garraway in 'bubble of bliss' over new son
GMTV presenter Kate Garraway said today that she was in a "little bubble of bliss" after the birth of her second child.
The 42-year-old gave birth to William Garraway Draper on Tuesday, and rang the show today to talk about the new addition to the household.
Garraway, who is married to Labour activist-turned- psychotherapist Derek Draper, said their three-year-old daughter Darcey was delighted to meet her little brother.
Swine flu precautions meant she was unable to visit her mother in hospital.
"I got home and she came running to the door and said 'Is it out of your tummy yet?' And so I said, 'Yes, he is - here he is', so she was really excited and being very good - running around getting nappies and all sorts at the moment, so it's brilliant," Garraway said.
And it seems that, so far, young William has been behaving himself.
"He's lovely. We're just in that lovely bubble of bliss at the moment actually. It's been fantastic, and he seems to be sleeping quite well so far," she said.
