Illusion: Shock horror! It's David Blaine

David Blaine, remember him? The one who starved himself in a box by the River Thames for 44 days in 2003? Well, he's back in the public eye. And he's ready to shock. No really.

For his next trick, the illusionist has announced that he will have a million volts of electricity pass through his body continuously for 72 hours in public, in October.

When he did his box stunt nine years ago he was pelted with eggs, sandwiches and beer cans. He'll no doubt be hoping that the crowd in his native New York are altogether more gentle, as unless he stays earthed, he risks having his heart stopped. And that would be shocking.
