Katie Price's ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crash near the former glamour model's mansion, police sources said today.
Bowers, 29, a former boyband singer, was held by officers who attended a crash near her home in Woldingham, Surrey, in the early hours yesterday.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Price - also known as Jordan - recently announced her split from Peter Andre, 36, her husband of three and a half years.
Bowers and another man, aged 26, were arrested after police were alerted to a loud noise at Price's home and discovered a Vauxhall Tigra had crashed in a nearby hedge.
They were released on bail after being held at a police station for several hours.
Police were unable to confirm whether they both denied being at the wheel.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: "Just after 4.20am on Tuesday May 26, two men were arrested in Woldingham on suspicion of driving with alcohol above the legal limit.
"The men, aged 26 and 29, were taken to Reigate police station but they were released later that day on police bail pending further inquiries."
Bowers had a string of hits with Another Level in the late 1990s.
It emerged yesterday that Price, 31, decided to pull out of a planned TV interview with Jonathan Ross because she did not feel ready to talk about her split from Andre.
They met on the set of the jungle show and a lavish wedding followed.
Price was due to model her new equestrian clothing range at Clothes Show London on Friday.
In a recent interview with OK! magazine, Price said of the break-up: "I don't want us to split up. I love my husband, but I can't sit around crying.
"This is a new story and a new chapter in my life."
