Monsters brawl? Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry arrested after Thanksgiving day fight with her fiance

Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry has been arrested after a “brutal” fracas reportedly involving him and the Hollywood actress’s fiancé Olivier Martinez on Thanksgiving.

The incident happened outside the couple’s LA home after Aubrey dropped off their four-year-old daughter Nahla.

Officer Julie Boyer of Los Angeles Police said Gabriel Aubry came to Berry's house yesterday and there were reports of an assault.

Aubry was arrested on charges of “misdemeanour battery” according to a police booking sheet apparently obtained by TMZ which suggests he is still in custody and has bail set at $20,000 (£12,500).

Both Aubry and Martinez were reportedly hospitalised following the melee suffering from cuts, bruises and broken ribs. Some reports suggest Martinez was rendered unconscious for a time.

Berry and Martinez have been engaged in a custody dispute over Nahla. The violence is said to have broken out after words were exchanged between the two men outside her house.

“Aubry showed up to Halle's house with Nahla for a custodial hand-off. We're told Gabriel was still in the motor court [driveway] when Martinez walked up to him and said, ‘We have to move on’,” law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Witnesses then reported seeing Aubry push Martinez, punches were exchanged between them, and Martinez ended up on the floor where a struggle ensued.

Berry removed her daughter from the scene and neither she nor Nahla witnessed the incident.

Monsters Ball actress Berry and French actor Martinez announced their engagement earlier this year.

She split from model Aubry after five years together in 2010.
