Simon Cowell has "a lot to learn about ladies" according to One Direction.

The 'X Factor' boss - who is engaged to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy - has been seeking late night love tips from Harry Styles, one of the young lotharios in the boy band, who are signed to his Syco label.

Harry, 17, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I spoke to Simon just the other day. He'll be halfway through a text to his lady and he'll say, 'How do I end the message? What do I write now?' And I tell him, 'Just be cool'.

"He's 52 but he's still got a lot to learn about the ladies. I tell him to take his time and not rush into anything."

Harry is not only Simon's first port of call when he needs relationship advice, as he has also been helping out his bandmates, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.

Niall added: "Harry is the guy to go to for love stuff. He's like an agony uncle. He just knows what to do and what to say. He knows all about the game."

'What Makes You Beautiful' singer Harry - who has previously been linked to model Syanne Patterson - has reportedly been working his considerable charms while on a recent visit to Italy.

Niall added: "Harry caught the eye of one fan. They swapped numbers and she ended up cooking him a nice pizza."

Meanwhile, the rest of the group clubbed together to treat Niall for his birthday last month, by buying him a life size waxwork of US President Barack Obama.

Liam told The Sun newspaper: "Niall is obsessed with Barack Obama. He knows everything about him.

"We looked around for the waxwork for ages. It's a life-size model and it's heavy.

"We had it made and delivered. We all chipped in for it. He sits on a bench in our flat. Niall loves it.

"It was a fair bit of money but I can't say as we don't want Niall to know."
