Waxwork waistline a shock for Boris Johnson
Wednesday 06 May 2009
Boris Johnson has revealed his shock at how fat a waxwork likeness of him is.
The Mayor of London unveiled the sculpture at Madame Tussauds yesterday and was "horrified" by the model's waistline.
Johnson said: "It's only when you see yourself in 3D you realise just how fat you are, I have got to get out and start jogging more. I have to lose some weight but it is a brilliant job they have done. It is an amazing, eerie, lifelike, spooky version of myself."
He added that Madame Tussauds was a great London landmark and joked: "I hope this new addition won't put people off."
