Charlie Conerly, American football player, died 13 February, aged 74. New York Giants quarterback 1947-61.

Dr Isaak Z. Baruch, religious leader, died Amsterdam 13 February, aged 78. Former leader of the Portuguese Jewish community in the Netherlands.
