Obituary: Erwin Ringel

Erwin Ringel, psychiatrist, died Vienna 28 July, aged 73. A specialist in the problems of suicide and its prevention, he set up a crisis centre for potential suicides in Vienna in 1948. In his later years he wrote several books analysing the 'Austrian soul'.
