Lewis B. Puller Jnr, committed suicide 11 May, aged 48. Won the Pulitzer prize in 1992 for his autobiography Fortunate Son: the healing of a Vietnam vet. As a US Marine he was badly injured by a landmine in 1968. Won the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, the Navy Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
