Obituary: Sir Dennis Pilcher
Sir Dennis Pilcher, chartered surveyor, died 5 January, aged 87. Chairman, Commission for the New Towns 1971-78. Joined the board of one of the earliest post-war New Town policy planners, Bracknell Development Corporation, in 1956, and became its Chairman in 1968. Sat on the Milner Holland Committee on London Housing set up in 1963 in the wake of the Rachman property scandal. President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1963-64. CBE 1968, Kt 1974.
