Prince dead: Celebrities and fans share tributes to the legendary pop musician

The singer's body was discovered at his Minnesota home on Thursday morning.

Stars pay tribute to Prince

Prince, the iconic pop musician, died on Thursday at 57.

In a statement, his publicist said: "It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning.

"There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time."

Regarded as a pop icon ever since his career took off in the late 1970s, Prince drew influences from pop, R&B, soul, disco and jazz cementing himself as one of the most unique performers of the last four decades.

Celebrities around the world paid tribute to Prince, reacting in disbelief and sharing personal memories they shared with the musician.
