If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be...

Off to see a band that I'm signing, the Getaway Team. They're a mixture between Green Day and Bloc Party. It's very punk.

I wish people would take more notice of...

I find it amazing we're so obsessed with reality TV. There's really important news going on.

The most surprising thing that ever happened to me was...

Falling in love. I thought love was an invention made up by Hallmark.

A common misperception of me is...

That I'm a mad diva. Just because you have a mind of your own doesn't mean you're an awful shrew.

I'm not a politician but...

If I were I'd make myself stand out from the pack. We need more individuals in politics who believe in something and are sincere in what they say.

I'm good at...

Selling things, be it myself or other people.

But I'm very bad at...

Keeping my mouth shut when I really should.

The ideal night out is...

A dinner party with close friends, good wine, food and conversation.

In moments of weakness I...

Eat way too much.

You know me as a singer/songwriter, but in a truer life I'd have...

Opened a restaurant. I do like to cook and talk to people.

The best age to be is...

30, because you've got over that mid-twenties angst. You know your strengths and weaknesses and where you are going.

In a nutshell, my philosophy is this:

Never look back with regret.
