If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be...

Discussing roughly what we might do in the future for product development in terms of what we might add to the line. My working days vary so much. I'll be doing live TV on This Morning with Fern and Phil or I'll be in the salon cutting clients' hair then the next cooking for 15 friends for a dinner party.

A phrase I use far too often...

"Yes, no problem". I'm not very good at saying "no". I always have a positive attitude to life. I don't like it when people say "no" to me but it can get you into trouble can say "yes" to too many things.

I wish people would take more notice of...

Good manners. Please and thank you and common courtesy costs nothing. Whether you are washing dishes or head chef, we all contribute and deserve courtesy.

A common misperception of me is...

That I'm incredibly easygoing but actually I have a stubborn streak. I don't just go with the flow. I like things to be done in a certain way. So I suppose I do say "no" sometimes. People often think think Charles is easy going and a pushover, when actually that's not the case.

The most surprising thing that happened to me...

Was being awarded my MBE last December by the Queen for services to hairdressing.

I am not a politician but...

I'd like the National Health Service to be regarded as number one in the world again like it used to be... In those vulnerable circumstances of not feeling well you should feel you are getting the best attention and help from the medical staff in hygienic surroundings.

I'm good at...

Wakeboarding. I just love it. I've got the knack for it. I got up first time last year and I was doing 180-degree turns. We used to go for our holidays in South Wales and I used to teach water-skiing.

The ideal night out is...

I love the ballet, so go to the Royal Opera House to see Giselle with friends and to go to a restaurant.

I'm very bad at...

Getting out of bed in the morning. I'd like to be one of those people that open their eyes, leaps out of bed ready for a new day. I never leap out of bed. I haul myself out of bed, which is ridiculous, because I work out and I do sport.
