A common misperception of me is...

That I'm aloof and unapproachable. Maybe it's because opera is seen as glamorous or because I'm quite tall, but it isn't the case at all.

I wish people would take more notice of...

Classical music. I hope it will be made accessible to the younger generations and inspire them.

A phrase I use too often is...

"Absolutely". I keep catching myself saying it.



My ideal night out is...

Cracking open a bottle of wine and having a natter with friends and family.

I am not a politician but...

Politics has a similar stigma among the young as opera. I would try to inspire and make children aware of politics.

I'm good at...

Baking cakes.

I'm bad at...

Painting and drawing.

In another life I'd have been...

A teacher, or maybe an astronaut!

In moments of weakness I...

Eat chocolate.

The best age to be is...

32. I feel calm and grounded whereas my twenties felt a bit turbulent.

My philosophy is:

Do something that you feel passionate about and people will believe in you.
