Robert Pattinson's advice to young stars: 'Get therapy, become a serial killer or kill yourself'
The Twilight actor makes a dramatic appeal to Hollywood’s new generation
Perhaps starring in Twilight wasn’t as enjoyable as it definitely didn't look…
The experience seems to have scarred world weary Robert Pattinson, who has offered young actors and actresses some dramatic words of wisdom.
"When you see these kids, there is only one way: you either get in therapy now or become a serial killer, or kill yourself," he said.
"I mean, you can see it really early on - it's terrifying."
He remains, however, unconcerned about relentlessly irritating Justin Bieber, who has found himself in numerous controversial scrapes in the past six months.
"I've met him before, though, on his party bus,” said Pattinson. “I've met him a couple of times. He's all right."
Pattinson experienced the world of young stardom first-hand, having appeared in Harry Potter when he was 17, then landed the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight series when he was 21. He says the gap in between films enabled him to lead a relatively normal life.
"I did Harry Potter when I was like 17, and nothing really happened after that," he told Vanity Fair at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
"I mean, I made loads of money compared to anyone my age - it was incredible.
"But I got to live from 18 to 21, you get your own apartment and basically I didn't star in Twilight until 21. It's different because you're still young, but you've had a life beforehand. Whereas if you are 10, it's a totally different thing."
