Queen frees IRA killer
An IRA killer who turned informer and foiled a plot to kill the Prince and Princess of Wales has been freed from prison after the Queen granted his early release.
Sean O'Callaghan, 42, was released on licence from Maghaberry Prison in Co Antrim last week after serving eight years of two life sentences. The man once described as "the most important intelligence agent in the history of the Irish state" was at a secret location yesterday for fear of an IRA revenge attack. But he has vowed to campaign against the organisation.
