MR MAJOR sidestepped in his interview the problems of Tim Yeo, the Environment Minister, who is resisting pressure to resign over his admission that he fathered a child during an extramarital affair. But asked if Mr Yeo was in conflict with the Government's 'back to basics' theme, Mr Major said that 'back to basics' was 'about lasting community values not about moral judgements made by one person against another person or another group of people.'
