JUST DAYS after being ravaged by Typhoon Olga, the Korean peninsula is bracing itself for another battering, this time from Typhoon Paul.

Officials said Paul could hit South Korea today and have warned residents and holidaymakers at the resort island of Cheju to be on alert. Typhoon Paul is expected to be weaker than Olga, which caused landslides, fierce winds and downpours that left 40 dead.
