WEATHER EXPERTS yesterday recorded November's highest ever reading for atmospheric pressure in the UK.
The pressure reached its highest level since recordings began in the late 1900s, the Met Office said. Two readings of 1046.7 millibars were recorded in Eskdale Muir and Aviemore, both in Scotland.
The previous record for November was 1046.5 millibars in Birmingham in 1980.
