AS THE latest winter cold spell continues, bookmakers around the country have nervously eyed the skies and slashed their odds on there being a white Christmas.
Ladbrokes has cut its odds of a white Christmas down from 10-1 to 8- 1 after a flurry of bets inspired by this week's icy spell. The betting industry's definition of a white Christmas Day is one snowflake falling on the Meteorological Office building in London.
